We only use full vegetable-tanned leather, LWG Gold certified, in three different finishing, cognac, black and nude.

Vegetable-tanned leather uses natural materials derived from plant sources, such as tree bark, instead of chemical agents such chromium, resulting in a more environmentally friendly and ancient tanning process.

Compared with faux leather we believe using cowhide is a more ecological choice, as syntectic leather is petroleum based while cowhide is a byproduct of the food industry.

We provide non-leather / vegan choices, such as our bucket baskets.

Please note that nude leather is not dyed. It easily takes marks of usage, might get sun-burned if directly exposed, and will get darker over time - that’s the charm of it.

Leather can be nourished with oil such as boiled linen seed oil or leather specific product from time to time.
